Performance + Event : Starcatchers
Starcatchers is Scotland’s Arts and Early Years organisation who create performances and creative activities for babies and children from birth to 5 years and the adults who care for them. Their Mission is pretty exemplary if you ask me. Check them out >> Starcatchers
“Our vision is to ensure that our youngest children, those from birth to 5, fulfil their right to access arts and creative experiences that give inspiration, joy, and wonder to early childhood in Scotland.
I’ve shot many events, from early year’s theatre and rehearsal images and promos to practitioner training events with Starcatchers. It’s always a joyful thing to watch babies and toddlers engaging with performance. Much of the training event work centres around creative play for early years practitioners and it’s amazing to see a room full of caters and nursery workers start off a bit shy and an hour into it they’re rolling around on the floor having the best time, making a mess and engaging with elements of their own childlike creativity.
